The Thornton Ballroom

The Thornton Ballroom

The Thornton Ballroom offers a unique and historic space for events of all sizes. Built in 1901, this landmark venue has played a significant role in Uptown Butte’s history. Originally named after Colonel J.C.C. Thornton, a prominent local resident who passed away in 1887, the building once featured 100 rooms, a saloon, a restaurant, a barber shop, and even a bowling alley.
